Description

Description

08/2020 It is a distillate from The Gin Company Ltd/Rogue Society Distilling Co from Auckland in New Zealand. Apparently two producers teamed up to make Scapegrace Dry Gin after one married the other's sister.

The Scapegrace Dry Gin is made from spring water from the Southern Alps of New Zealand and 12 botanicals. This composition combines, among other things, juniper, cardamom, coriander, orris root, lemon and orange peel, cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg.

The name "Scapegrace" is a traditional word for scoundrel or rascal and is therefore dedicated to the "dark history" of gin. The bottle itself is not a typical gin bottle, as the black-tinted bottle is based on an antique genever bottle.
When you open the bottle, floral and fruity aromas emerge. The lemon stands out very much. The taste reveals wonderful notes of citrus fruits, oranges and spices. The juniper berries are always present in the background.

The tasty Scapegrace Dry Gin has already received countless awards: double gold in 2014 at the San Francisco Wine & Spirits Competition. Outstanding/Silver Medal in 2014 at the London International Wine & Spirits Competition. Silver medal in 2015 at the San Francisco Wine & Spirits Competition. Silver medal in 2016 at the London International Wine & Spirits Competition.
