03/2022 What I really liked about La Gomera were the island's beautiful laurel forests. This beautiful tree is a great example. The branches are often covered with thick moss and look almost like a fairy tale. I especially loved the woods when we hiked the Cañada de Jorge trail. The start is at a parking lot on the GM-2 road. The most beautiful trees are along the trail by the road. Down the valley it gets drier again and the moss on the trees decreases.
