11/2011 A special experience is a trip on the Tibetan train from Lhasa to Xining (duration 24 hours). This picture of the mountains of Tibet was taken from the train during the journey. There are very few people and animals here. The train travels on a specially built track at 4,000 - 5,000 meters above sea level. The mountains in the background are quite a bit higher. A great sight!
