Palace Museum in the oasis town of Al Ain in Abu Dhabi

Palace Museum Al Ain

09/2015 The Palace Museum in Al Ain is essentially the former family home of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the first President of the United Arab Emirates. The family lived here before moving their headquarters to Abu Dhabi in 1966. The complex was built in 1910 and has been a museum since 1998. All rooms are furnished with typical furniture from that time and can be visited.

Right next to the Al Ain Palace Museum is the Al Ain Oasis. From the Palace Museum you can walk through the oasis to the Al Ain National Museum. The oasis looks like a kind of garden club with palm trees.
