The Heart Reef

01/2016 The Heart Reef is a heart-shaped reef off the coast of Airlie Beach. The reef is part of the Great Barrier Reef which is located here in front of the east coast of Australia. The Heart Reef was discovered and photographed in 1975 by a local pilot. Since then, it is marketed as an attraction. Almost all rides include a flyover of Heart Reef.
