A day with ups and downs

12/2015 In the morning we drove up to Castle Hill Viewpoint in Townsville in the sunshine. From the top you have a great view of the city and the coast. Then we went to the Jourama Falls, a waterfall with several pools in a row in which you could swim. Then we went through the pouring rain to the highest waterfall in Australia, the Wallaman Fall. The big disappointment here was that there wasn't a drop of water. We reached Mission Beach late in the afternoon. Our hotel was Castaways Resort & Spa. The hotel is right on the beach. The lobby and restaurant are very open and border a beautiful pool with great seating in the water. Even the sea was so warm that it was wonderful to swim in it. A floating net protects against dangerous sharks and jellyfish.
