10/2007 The Pinnacles in Australia are located on the west coast about 200 km north of Perth. In the protected area of Nambung National Park there are thousands of weathered limestone pillars up to four meters high, the so-called pinnacles. Corrosion has separated the solid rock layers from the soft ones, leaving the pillars made of the stronger limestone that now protrude above the sunken ground level. Very nice to look at!
