06/2011 Roman snails are fascinating animals. I found this beautiful example of a Roman snail on the way home from the train station. In this picture, the snail was looking nicely into the camera. Roman snails are protected in Germany. After the photo session, I released the animal back into our garden. The nice thing about these animals is that you have quite a lot of time to take photos ;)
