Spacious room with jacuzzi
09/2021 As a room, we treated ourselves to a special room here. A top floor suite with a large outdoor terrace with Jacuzzi. From the top you also had a nice view of the hotel grounds, the beach and the sea.
The room was very large and spread over two floors. The bed was upstairs under the roof. On the lower floor was a kind of living room, bathroom and a minibar, as well as access to the terrace. Oddly enough, there was another shower upstairs next to the bed. What this should be for was not revealed to us. Actually, the space should have been used differently, because it was a bit cramped upstairs by the bed and there was nowhere to put the suitcase.
Delicious cuisine and great breakfast
We had booked the hotel with breakfast. Breakfast was inside the restaurant as it was a bit cold outside in the mornings at the end of September. The selection was large, also a lot of fresh fruit and juices. Only at peak times were there often no tables left and you had to wait at the bar.
The beachfront restaurant had a good selection on the menu. The burger, for example, was delicious. Price ok too, taste great!
Few sights on the peninsula
The Kassandra peninsula has one disadvantage. There are actually no real sights. We drove along the coast for a day in a rental car. There are nice views here and there, but no real hiking opportunities or historical places to look at. All in all, rather touristy places for beach holidaymakers.
Worth seeing is the Possidi Cape, a promontory of sandy beach that juts out into the sea. Very nice to take with the drone.
Nice plant
The complex of the Blue Carpet Luxury Suites on Kassandra is really great and also looks good in the evening with the lighting. All in all a modern upscale hotel. The hotel also has a sandy beach with comfortable loungers.
Conclusion: Beautiful hotel, but boring surroundings
For a pure beach vacation, the Blue Carpet Luxury Suites is a great hotel. However, the Kassandra peninsula is a bit boring. Actually, you can't really do anything, at least if you'd like to go hiking or something like that in nature. On Kassandra, pure beach holidays are the order of the day.
