01/2021 On a beach in south-east Iceland, a unique natural phenomenon can be observed. Large and small chunks of ice from the Joekulsarlon Glacier regularly wash up onto the beach here. The ice chunks of the glacial ice appear like shiny diamonds on the black sand, which is why the beach is also called Diamond Beach.
