05/2021 The word Troelladyngja means Troll Shield Volcano. In fact, the area is volcanically active and there are spots where steam rises from the ground. The volcanic cone of Keilir is also not far away. A walk through the colorful valley is an experience! However, one should keep in mind that the soil here is muddy and very sticky. At the end you almost have the feeling that you have weights on your shoes.
