Denami Guesthouse Vestra-Geldingaholt: cosy and familiar accommodation
Review of our accommodation at Denami Guesthouse Vestra-Geldingaholt in the south of Iceland

Spacious and quiet room
06/2021 Our room at the Denami Guesthouse was very spacious, but we also got the triple room at the end of the corridor, as we were the only guests at that time. This is equipped with a large double bed, about 180 metres wide, and a single bed. The bathroom is also large, but lacks a bit of storage space. The room was very clean and modern.
Good breakfast and dinner with the family
We especially liked the breakfast buffet. There really is a large selection of delicious and also regional dishes. If you wish, you can also order warm egg dishes. The dining room has great panoramic windows with a view of the mountains and is very comfortable. For dinner there is only one dish, but three courses with salad, main course and dessert - everything is prepared fresh and is therefore typically local. A list of what is available during the week is displayed at the entrance. As we were the only guests, we had dinner together with the family and got lots of great tips for our trip through Iceland. It was a unique experience.
Horse farm in a very quiet location
A horse farm belongs to the guest house and part of the family also works there. The house is nevertheless very quiet and off the road. And you can easily reach the sights from here. The only thing we noticed was that the rooms might be a bit noisy when there are more guests in the house, but otherwise you are in absolute peace in the middle of nature.
Starting point for excursions along the Golden Circle and into the mountains
From Denami Guesthouse you can easily reach the sights along the Golden Circle as well as Gjáin, Haifoss and Landmannalaugar. You are in the middle of nature and away from the normal tourist routes and accommodation. We really enjoyed getting to know the family and experiencing typical Icelandic life.
Accommodation with a family atmosphere
We can recommend the accommodation 100 percent. We especially liked the quiet location, the large room and the friendly family atmosphere. It was great to sit together with the family in the evenings and chat. We also enjoyed the cosy lounge with lots of Iceland books. Our absolute advantage was that we were the only guests - we can't judge what it's like at other times of the year when it's busier.
