Small bedroom with cosy bed
06/2021 There are two small bedrooms in the accommodation. One with a double bed, but only about 140 metres wide, and the second with a bunk bed. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms can be darkened, which is especially great in summer.

Simple kitchen in the living/dining area, but everything there that you need
The kitchenette is directly adjacent to the living/dining area and is quite small, but still spacious. The counter provides enough storage space and you can find everything you need in the cupboards. The fridge is also big enough and spices and washing-up utensils are available.

Direct located at Lagarfljot
The accommodation is located directly at Lagarfljot, a lake/river in the east of Iceland. You have a great view of the lake from the house and the surroundings are very quiet. This is a good base for excursions to Hengifoss or the area around Egilsstadir or the south-eastern coast of Iceland.

Spacious living room
The living room is quite spacious and the sofa comfortable. There are also some travel guides to browse through. Next to the sofa (unfortunately without a picture) is a dining table that seats four people. Behind the sofa is the door to the spacious outdoor terrace, where you have a beautiful view of the lake and where there is seating.

Beautiful cottages with large terrace
We can absolutely recommend the accommodation and would have liked to stay a few days longer. It is also practical if you are travelling with several people, as there is a larger house right next door and you can share the terrace. Our house is on the left in the picture and a bit smaller. The main house is the white big house where you also check in. The landlords are very friendly, but don't speak good English. You should note that there is no restaurant or supermarket in the immediate vicinity, so either bring something with you or eat in Egilsstadir.
