12/2022 The Tarxien Temple in Malta is a real sensation for the country. The complex from the Neolithic period has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1992. The Tarxien Temple complex consists of four individual temples arranged in a row. The complex was discovered by a farmer in 1914 and gradually excavated in the following years. A highlight of the complex is the statue of the Magna Mater, see separate picture below.
