Terra Nostra Park in Furnas

06/2022 The Terra Nostra Park in Furnas on Sao Miguel is actually a botanical garden that was founded in 1780 by the American consul Thomas Hickling. At that time the magnificent villa by the large water basin was built. Over time, the park was expanded several times. Today it belongs to the Terra-Nostra Hotel and as a hotel guest you have exclusive access to the complex at certain times of the day. Anyone who is on holiday on Sao Miguel should have been to Terra Nostra Park at least once. The park is an absolute highlight. You can see more in my travel video, see link below.
