06/2022 The beautiful little park and monument Infante Dom Henrique is a good place for a little break while walking through the historic old town of Porto. What many people don't know is that the monument is to one of Portugal's most famous sailors, in German, Henry the Sailor. The man lived from 1394 to 1460 and became known for his expeditions along the West African coast and is considered the founder of the colonial power Portugal and marked the beginning of Europe's expansion on the globe.
