Golf Hotel Stromberg: No wishes remain unfulfilled! The Golf Hotel Stromberg is the perfect place between the Pfalz and the Rheingau. Service, spa, food, location, rooms - everything was perfect.

Comfortably furnished and clean room
05/2015 The room at Golf Hotel Stromberg is very clean and comfortably furnished, with a rustic touch. It is also very quiet as the hotel is on a street with little traffic in wooded area. There is a free minibar in the room, which is constantly replenished. The bathroom is newly renovated and it's all there, what you need. In the room is extensive information about the hotel and the region (with map). There is also a daily house magazine with tips and ideas. We also liked the direct access to the spa area with an extra lift. You can easily use the lift with the bathrobe because the across was just along the aisle. In the room there are only a few small prints: The mattresses were a bit too hard for our taste and the safe very small. Also the TV was very small, but there is a cozy cinema with quite current films in the Hotel.
Several restaurants with attentive staff
The two restaurants at the Golf Hotel Stromberg get a perfect score from us. One restaurant on the ground floor is rather furnished in country-house style, has an additional sun terrace and a chic area all in white. The other restaurant in the basement features a golf lounge, a wine bar corner and a romantic decorated main room. Since you can eat in each two restaurants, one has the full variety. The first evening we had a four-course menu and at the second evening we could choose from the extensive buffet. The dishes were each served very nice, tasty and varied. The staff is great, they anticipated every of our wishes.
Very quiet area surrounded by nature
For those seeking peace, it is the right place. The Golf Hotel Stromberg is located above the village of Stromberg on a mountain next to the forest. About this mountain stretches the 18-hole golf course. The driving range and putting green are located directly next to the hotel. To come to the Rhine or in the next place you definitely need a car. Also walks around the hotel can be rather sporty as the mountains are quite high. Because of this seclusion you unfortunately have a very bad cell phone network. D1 worked in some areas of the hotel but O2 had no network.
Great spa area and many additional extras
On our first night there was a nice pre-dinner champagne reception in the conservatory - this is available for newly arrived guests on Fridays. In general we liked the hotel setting. There is an emphasis on details and everything is clean and tidy. Also the in-house cinema with around 20 seats we used every night. The very large hotel parking is free of charge and right outside the door, here you can always find a spot. As a hotel guest you can also use the driving range and the putting green (only costs a few euros for the balls and rackets to borrow). The absolute highlight is the spacious wellness area with many beautiful beds and relaxation areas. The somewhat newer outdoor area with pool is beautifully designed. In addition to a beautiful indoor pool (could be 2 degrees warmer) there is a diverse sauna area with three saunas, steam bath, Turkish bath and thermal space. We also booked massages: The staff was very friendly and the massages very good and professional. Free drinks and magazines are also included. A relaxation room with rocking chairs and headphones with selectable relaxing music was very cozy. The only thing still missing, is a hot whirlpool – apart from this there was nothing to be desired.
Top wellness hotel with lots of extras
As mentioned at the beginning: The Golf Hotel Stromberg (almost) has nothing to be desired. Here you pay just a little more, but all the extras, the great service, a beautiful spa area, good food and, and, and, justify the price in any case. We have felt ourselves very well and love coming back!
