Forest house in the national park on La Gomera
Our AirBnb accommodation on La Gomera. A great, self-sufficient house in the laurel forest.

Nice modern rooms
03/2022 Even if the house is in the middle of the forest, it is a modern building. The rooms are all very modern in design. A new kitchen with everything that goes with it is placed directly after the entrance area. A dining area with a large table is located between the kitchen and the living room with sofa and TV. The kitchen, dining area and living area are open plan areas that flow seamlessly into each other. The whole building even has underfloor heating, which brings a pleasant warmth into the rooms, because in March it is still quite cold at night.
Bedrooms with soft beds
In the forest house there are two bedrooms with double beds. Both bedrooms have a glazed door to the garden. The doors can be slid open. We slept very well in the beds. Thanks to the two bedrooms, four people can easily sleep in the accommodation.
Perfect location for nature lovers
For us, the Waldhaus was the perfect place to stay. In the middle of nature, away from noise and the hustle and bustle of everyday life. You can get to the forest house from the CV-14 road via a small forest path that is otherwise not used because there is a post on the road that you first have to pull out. There is only one hiking trail directly in front of the house, which you can use to hike to El Cedro or the national park, for example. A good base for hikers like us. Self-sufficient accommodation
What I really liked about the house was that, in principle, it is almost completely self-sufficient. All you need is gas for the stove/oven and a little fuel for the emergency power generator. Otherwise, the house has photovoltaics on the roof, a battery in the technical room and a source behind the house. So if you're economical with electricity, you can use the battery for two or three days without sunshine before the emergency power generator kicks in. The consumption display has sharpened my awareness of the energy consumption of various appliances in the kitchen or the bathroom, for example.
Very nice accommodation with a great landlord
We absolutely loved the accommodation. The location in the forest, the modern house with many amenities. The nice landlord Faial, who had informed us well in advance and who welcomed us in a friendly manner on the day of arrival and guided us to the house via the small forest path, just great! There is even W-Lan in the house, even though we didn't have cell phone reception with our cell phones. It is therefore important to remember the W-Lan password correctly.
