Pure old town

04/2016 Rather spontaneously, we had decided on the drive home from the Black Forest to Darmstadt to go somewhere to eat. On the highway A5 we drove down the exit Heppenheim. Heppenheim has a really great old marketplace with nice restaurants and cafes, where you can enjoy the great atmosphere of half-timbered houses. We sat in Empanada, a tapas bar that had a great day menu with asparagus dishes for lunch. The spring weather had lured many people into the marketplace, sitting here relaxing with a drink or a piece of cake.

Tip for motorists: At the weekend you can park for free along the Siegfriedstraße and walk the few meters to the market square in the old town.
