Capela das Almas in Porto

Masterpiece made of 15,947 wall tiles

06/2022 The Capela das Almas in Porto is located just outside the historic old town. But a detour is worth it. The Church of Souls is a true masterpiece with huge murals on the outside facade. The images are burned onto beautiful blue tiles. The church was built in the 18th century, but the beautiful tiles were only added in 1929.
